02/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA JoJo is a lean OF/1B who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At 1B, he displays proper foot work around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting abilities with well above average power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. With 2 years to further develop, JoJo has potential with time and room to improve his game.

09/02/2018 - Interactive Video Program - San Francisco, CA JoJo is a young, strong, 2-way player who plays OF and 1B. In the OF, JoJo gets in a good ready position, hands and feet play well, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He has a clean release and an accurate arm with consistency to his cut off man. In the INF, JoJo has active feet, good range, and he can pick the ball out of the dirt. He makes plays and has an accurate arm to his target. Offensively, JoJo has a square set-up, he loads well, and flashes fast bat speed. He has a line drive swing, gets good extension through the ball, and he uses his lower body. JoJo can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
