01/20/2014 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Jordan is a lean, tall 1B that will graduate in 2016. He moves well laterally, flashing range but needs to work to improve foot quickness. Footwork around the bag is sound and he is a quality receiver, displaying clean hands. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to attack balls more and present hands more out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Brea shows an upright / squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. With 2 years to further develop, Jordan has abilities with time and room to improve.
