01/22/2017 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL Jordan is a big, athletic RHP/OF and is a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.99. Delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point. Arm strength is well above average as indicated by his top velocity of 84. Fastball showed a range of 81-84 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with late / sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he displays outstanding power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (96 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive approach. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power displaying best to the pull side. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Jordan has a ton of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities, possibly as a two-way guy.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
