Official Scouting Report

  • SSPosition Projection

07/27/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Jordan is SS prospect in the 2023 class. In the field, his athletic ability is on display. He has quiet feet and creates energy in his feet prior to the pitch. His exchanges are clean and uses short and loose arm action. Can get rid of the baseball and feeds are on-line. Has awareness around the bag on his spins and feeds. At the plate, he has a quiet head and sees the baseball well. Has an athletic set up and is stride is on time. Stays inside his feet for centered balance and a on-plane swing path. Line drive production and keeps his hands inside the baseball. Overall, Jordan has a bright future in the game.

12/13/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Manalapan, NJ Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball tools and has a bright future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At SS, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Jordan.

10/04/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Trenton, NJ Chui continues to work hard and progress on the diamond. Defensively, he has active prep and works right to left into an athletic fielding position. He tracks the GB into his mitt, gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. With the bat, this righty displays an open stance with a solid base and rhythm to load. He whips the barrel on a direct path, squares it up and looks to drive the middle of the field. Added power will come as he works to utilize his lower 1/2 more throughout the swing. Only a 2023 grad - Jordan has tools with still time to develop to get to where he wants to be.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jordan is an athletic and talented MINF prospect. In the infield, Jordan is on time with his prep step, he starts on the balls of his feet, and creates good angles to the ball. He presents a low/early glove, he works from the ground up, and has good footwork off the bag on double plays. At the plate, Jordan starts in an open stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and rotates his backside. He rotates his core and he looks to hit the ball to all fields. Jordan is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/29/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is firm but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 66-68 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with cutting action.

07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Jordan is an athletic and talented 2023 middle infield prospect that was eager to learn. Jordan is a scrappy player and makes in game adjustments. At SS, Jordan is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and has smooth hands. He plays through the ball, has a quick release on double plays, and throws from multiple arm slots. Continuing to improve his arm strength and first step to the ball will elevate his ability to play SS at the next level. At the plate Jordan starts in an athletic stance, has a simple load, and gets his hands back into the drive position. His rhythm and timing allow him to be on time to the ball and get into a strong hitting position. Jordan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
