02/03/2013 - College PREP - Houston, TX Jordan is a 2-way player as a RHP/3B who has a tall/solid build. On the mound, he has a 4 pitch repertoire, throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot with the ability to drop down submarine. FB ranges from 74-77 mph while CB shows 10/4 shape with gradual break. His CH shows better from his submarine delivery, as it has arm-side run. He tends to be a little stiff with his mechanics and will improve as he slows everything down and smoothens out his rhythm. Defensively at the hot corner, Jordan moves well around the groundball and works to get into a square fielding position. He has smooth footwork while attacking the slow roller and plays through toward his target. At the plate, Clayton gets into a square/athletic setup with a solid load. He maintains good balance throughout his swing, makes consistent contact and hits line-drives to all parts of the field through late explosion. With his big build and skills on the diamond, he should draw some attention this upcoming season.
