01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Jordan is a two way player in the OF and on the mound as a LHP with a tall, athletic looking frame that does show projection as it continues to physically mature. He does project well at both positions for the next level. Foot speed is slightly average and does need to get on speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. Arm strength is near above average and he does need to get on a strict long toss program to aid in developing more arm strength and raise velocities. He throws do show some carry that will continue to improve as he finishes throws with his feet. At the plate, Decker has near above average abilities and power. He tracks the ball well and shows a level swing path. Power is best displayed to the pull side. On the mound, fastball is straight but does locate well to both sides of the plate. Breaking ball is above average displayin a 1/7 shape, flashing 12/6 shape, tight spin, with solid downward action. He has the abilities to miss bats as he struck out 5 of the 9 hitters he faced in 3 innings of work. Jordan has abilities and will catch the eyes of the college coaches with the makings to be a solid two way player.
