12/27/2018 - 2018 Inaugural West Coast Winter Classic - La Verne, CA Jordan is a coachable 2B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the West Coast Winter Classic. In the field, Jordan takes a good first step and displays smooth footwork. He gets into an athletic position a fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a controlled stride. He is smooth getting into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a compact swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent contact. On the mound, Jordan starts with a simple rock step and stays inline towards the plate, finishing square to his target. His fastball tops out at 60mph with slight arm side run. With four more years to develop, Jordan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
