10/08/2014 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Jordan is an athletic OF that showed improvements to his game every day. Defensively, he got a decent jump on balls and took good routes/angles to make plays with a sure glove. He catches balls on thee run and throws on-line to his target. Being more aggressive to spots and using more lower half to throw will increase play ability. Offensively, he tracks the ball well and gets to a strong hitting position with activated hands. Staying strong with his hands after launch and firing the barrel to contact will eliminate loop in his swing and promote a line-drive path. All in all - Jordan is a good player that will continue to improve over time as he becomes comfortable in his role.

06/24/2014 - National Tryout - Bellevue (Seattle), WA Flournoy continues to put high quality skills on the field. In the OF, he tracks down balls hit into the gaps with speed (6.81). That speed will also translate offensively, as he will be a threat on the base-paths. With the bat, Jordan takes and aggressive hack as he's always looking to swing. He connects and drives the ball on a line, getting out of the box quickly. This top of the line-up type of guy has the skills and speed that will bring success.

08/04/2013 - College PREP - Glendora, CA Jordan is a 2015 graduate who plays outfield. He possesses good speed (6.94 60/yd) and solid arm strength (76 mph). Defensively, Jordan has an aggressive approach, a good first step, and plus body control. He has range and gets behind the ball well. Long toss will help strengthen and add carry to his arm. At the plate, he has a quiet/middle approach, good bat speed, and uses his lower 1/2 well while getting extension. As he matures physically the power numbers will go up but he can improve by keeping the hips from sliding and tracking the ball all the way to contact. Jordan has good overall skills and if he keeps working and progressing he can be a solid player at the next level.

07/29/2013 - Under Armour Southwest Championships, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Jordan is a young, lean OF/2B that will graduate in 2015. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 7.24 60 time. He utilizes his quick feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls through an aggressive approach. He moves well lateral, displaying range but needs to work on getting behind balls more to play through and improve defensive grade. At 2B, he works to square balls up while displaying soft / sure hands. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to play through balls more and work to get rid of the baseball quickly. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works hard, and shows a desire to be the best he can be. With 3 years to further develop, Jordan has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
