07/29/2017 - Under Armour All-America Game, Powered by Baseball Factory A polished all-around game is the hallmark of Jordan Groshans. The 6 foot 4 infielder has the necessary range, hands and arm to stay on the left side of the infield, and has an impact bat that will do damage at higher levels. His approach at the plate is quiet and efficient with a simple hand trigger to get him ready to hit. With little head movement, and few moving parts overall, Jordan uses his quick hands to deliver the barrel with consistency. Not only does he find the barrel, but he does it with authority. He is also is a "baseball rat" with great makeup. Jordan is a University of Kansas commit.

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jordan, once again, showed why he is one the top prospects in the entire 2018 class. His overall approach is refreshing, as he can't seem to get enough of the game of baseball. His right-handed stroke continues to show excellent rhythm with a short, quick path to contact. He shoots line drives to all fields with flashes of pull power. Defensively he has live actions, sure hands and confidence in the infield dirt. Routine balls are outs and he takes pride in this part of his game. Jordan was on base in all four of his game at bats with 2 singles and 2 walks. We look forward to seeing more of the same at this summer's Under Armour All-America Game.

11/05/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures Texas Jordan is an outstanding young player with an excellent mix of tools, make-up and the ability to play the game. He is a unique infielder as he moves well laterally, making all the plays despite a lean 6'4" frame that can handle more muscle. His hands are soft and sure and he plays the game with a confidence that allows him to be aggressive, but under control both in the field and at the plate. His exchange and release are fluid and his throws have carry from his normal arm slot and from others that he can use when necessary. At the plate Jordan has a simple, quiet approach with a short stroke and very good hands that deliver the barrel. He has some power as he showed by homering to LF in the game on an 89 mph FB tailing in on him. Jordan is a first to the park-last to leave kind of guy who has the ability and drive to play this game at a very high level.

07/10/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National East Groshans has a solid showing at the event in the MIF. At the plate is where he showed best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. The baseball explodes off the bat when centered, creating bat spin. In the MIF, feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. He moves well laterally, displaying range and soft / sure hands. Jordan has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jordan is an exciting MIF prospect (6'1"/180) who can make things happen. With the bat, this strong righty has fluid rhythm to load as he waits for his pitch. Swing is short/direct and he connects with pop, driving the ball to all parts of the field. He will be a run producer and drive the ball to the deep parts of the park. At SS, Jordan has quick/athletic actions working around the ground ball. He fields the ball out in front and has a fluid exchange to throw, firing strong/accurate throws across the diamond. Jordan also has the ability to pitch and do so effectively. Arm action is loose/free as he drives downhill toward the dish. FB gets on hitters and cracks the mitt at 84 mph while showing tail & sink. He keeps the ball down in the zone resulting in GB outs. Jordan Groshans is a name you'll be sure to hear again.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
