04/22/2018 - College PREP - Louisville, KY Jordan is a 1B prospect who continues to show improvements on the diamond. At the plate is where Jordan improved the most. He sets up in a tall stance and takes a short, square stride. He is fluid getting into his load and shows some pop to his pull side. Jordan can improve as a hitter by using his lower half more. In the field, Jordan shows active footwork and centers the ball in the middle of his body. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He shows a quick, clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws. Jordan can improve defensively by getting into a looser, more athletic fielding position. Overall, Jordan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/17/2017 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Jordan is a coachable player who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Factory Development Institute National Select Program. In the field, Jordan gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws form a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws on-line to his target. Jordan can improve defensively by quickening his exchange to throw. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and leads well with his lower half. He shows decent bat speed through the zone and produces consistent contact. Jordan can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With two more years to develop, Jordan has the time and potential to further progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
