08/01/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities behind the plate. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest pop time to date as he is now a well above average thrower at 2.08. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he shows a solid setup with balance. His hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. He also showed on the mound at the event with fastball showing a range of 74-76 with arm side run. His changeup is a quality pitch as he maintains arm speed with slight arm side run. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a leader by example and always plays hard.
