12/27/2010 - Christmas Camp and Tournament 2010 - Session 2 Jordan is a young, lean, 2-way player that plays OF and RHP. Defensively, Jordan makes plays on balls hit his way, and he shows playable hands and feet. He gathers himself well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy to his target. OF skills can get better with improved routes to the ball, more reps, and added arm strength. On the mound, Jordan works in good tempo, he battles in the zone, and he finishes out over his front leg. He is a competitor on the hill and pitched effectively in game play. A longer arm action, a more firm back side, and improved command all will help mound effectiveness get better. Offensively, Jordan has a balanced approach, some separation, and he tracks the ball well. He has good strike zone recognition, he makes good contact, and he squares the ball up well on the barrel. Jordan can improve offensively by shortening his swing, not wrapping his back elbow, and making better use of his lower 1/2. Jordan is a real competitor on the mound and at the plate.
