09/25/2019 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Jordan continues to shine on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get his body down sooner. Pop times showed in 2.31 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

01/18/2019 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Jordan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. Pop times showed in the 2.31 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. He shows a solid setup and presents a low target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to get body down sooner. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jordan is an athletic and talented 2022 utility player that suffered an unfortunate concussion during the week and had to go home early. At the plate, Jordan starts in an open stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He has rhythm in his hands, rotates his back hip to the ball, and shows gap to gap power. Continuing to keep a middle approach and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to have more consistency in the swing. Jordan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to he gets better so we can see him at another event in the future.

01/07/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Bradenton (Tampa), FL Jordan is a young, solid catcher with good skills. Behind the plate, Jordan has active feet, quiet actions, and firm hands. He blocks the ball well, has a clean exchange, and throws with a short arm action with accuracy and momentum toward his target. At the plate, Jordan has an open set-up, he tracks the ball well, and stands in well balanced. He is a strong hitter with strength in his swing and pop to the pull side. Jordan can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
