11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Jordan continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Hands are clean and present well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds/ turn of the double play. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work inside the baseball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 4 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a very hard worker.

07/08/2018 - College PREP - Wichita, KS Jordan is a hardworking SS/C who has a versatile skill set. Offensively, Jordan has an open, athletic stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Jordan has a direct, on-plane swing path producing square contact. He is a line drive type hitter who has a middle of the field the approach. In the field, Jordan plays with effective pre-pitch actions and a quick first step. He plays with great energy and presents his glove as he fields the ball in a square position. Jordan has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are consistent with good strength across the diamond. Behind the plate, Jordan has an effective setup and moves with flexible actions. He presents a low target and stays square to the pitcher. He moves with quiet actions and good rhythm. Jordan gains ground on his release and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Overall, Jordan is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to get even better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
