12/27/2016 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jordan is a tall, lanky two-way prospect who uses his long levers to his advantage all over the field. He can really pick it at first with a good glove angle and soft hands to scoop it cleanly, showing himself to be an asset to the rest of the infielders. He shows active feet and proper footwork around the bag to create shorter throws and better angles for infielders. He shows off a strong arm and throws accurately to his target to prove himself a capable DP partner when called on. At the dish, he shows a tall setup with a powerful load and short, on time stride to stay direct to the pitcher. He sees the ball well out of the hand and can react to off speed pitches, proving to be a tough at bat throughout the game. Working on incorporating his lower half more will get better use of his long levers and allow him to impact the ball harder. On the bump, he works exclusively from the stretch with a 3/4 arm slot, featuring a fastball in the high 70's, a 2-8 curveball that he commands and a sinking changeup with good potential. When he works quickly, he repeats his delivery more consistently and shows improved control and better stuff. Jordan is a prospect with a high ceiling that we look forward to watching him try to reach as he continues to play.

10/02/2016 - College PREP - Parker (Denver), CO Jordan is a lean built LHP prospect who graduates in 2018. Jordan has a simple, repeatable delivery that is balanced and on-time as he keeps his head on his target. He has a clean arm action throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Jordan extends through his release and maintains square direction with the proper stride length. He does a nice job rotating with his core towards home plate. Jordan has a full arsenal of pitches starting with a fastball with cutting movement. His curveball is 62-64 MPH with a 2-8 break. Jordan throws a deceptive change-up with the same arm speed as his fastball. Offensively, Jordan has a tall, closed stance with a square stride. He does a nice job letting the baseball travel and getting extension at contact. Jordan has a solid line drive approach at the plate. Overall, Jordan has the ability to continue to develop with hard work.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
