04/29/2018 - College PREP - Douglasville (Atlanta), GA Jorden continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. In the MIF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active in attacking ground balls but will benefit in playing through more with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turn of the double play. Range is a plus as he continues to improve foot speed (7.07 60 time) and covers a lot of ground. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process and he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy / zip (86 mph velocity) across the diamond. Jorden will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Jorden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.19. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a plus feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. At the event, he as 6 for 9 with a 2B. At SS, he continues to shine as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry across the diamond. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

10/29/2017 - College PREP - Peachtree City (Atlanta), GA Jorden is a lean, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying solid hitting abilities with well above average power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. In the MIF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Jorden has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
