06/19/2015 - USA Baseball 17U Championships Jordin showed sound ability on all sides of the baseball at the USA Baseball 17U Championships with Baseball Factory. Offensively, he showed strong hit ability with his aggressive barrel accuracy and bat speed. He was direct with the barrel and extended through the zone creating line-drive contact. He had good bat whip through the zone and was fluid throughout his swing. Defensively at short, he worked around the ball with efficient angles and was soft with the glove to field in front. He was confident with the glove and worked low to high making routine plays with ease. In all - Jordin is a young player that has another 3 years of high school and competitive baseball to build his ability for the next level.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jordin is a silky smooth middle infielder with a bright future on the diamond. This 2018 grad, at SS, showed quick, athletic actions. His feet and hands moved well with a sure BH in the hole. His projectable frame and current tools make him a reliable infielder in any lineup. Offensively, Jordin hits with a square, soft stance. At contact he is very balanced, head is still and showed the ability to fire his hands with explosive actions at the ball. He uses all fields with power potential as he continues to grow. Jordin is a talented middle infielder with a bright future as he continues to polish his skills.

12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Jordin is a young, athletic SS that will graduate in 2018 with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is slightly above average as indicated by his 7.43 60 time. Defensive grade are tremendous, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process as he attacks balls and plays through well presenting hands out front. He moves well laterally and shows big play potential in the MIF. Throws are accurate with life / carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting abilities with solid power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed working to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He has pop in his swing with baseball jumping off the bat when centered, as he works to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields, flashing gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 3 for 5 with a 2B and 2BB. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 3 years to further develop, Jordin has the makings of a special type player and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
