05/02/2021 - All-In Membership - Fort Lauderdale, FL Jose is a 2021 SS. Small frame athletic build with strength present and room to fill out. Ran a 7.0 60-yard dash. Primary SS, with a good prep step and quick/efficient feet. Creates good fielding angles as he fields down to up with a low funnel. Showed ability keep his eyes behind glove and pick out hops to the back hand side. Clean transfer, with a quick release, as he makes accurate/on-line throws at 82mph across diamond. Good touch on his DP feeds. Right-handed hitter with an upright and open stance. Quiet actions in box as he keeps head still and tracks pitches well. Short/direct path to ball who showed ability to keep hands inside ball and get good extension through contact. Hit line drives into both gaps with a recorded bat exit velocity of 85mph during his BP round. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
