01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Josearmando is a MIF who can swing it. At the plate - he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack - crushing the ball gap-to-gap pop (exit velocity = 87 mph). At SS, he has plus lateral range, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws (88 mph velocity) zipping across the diamond. A projectable MIF - he will play at a high level and make an impact.

11/12/2017 - College PREP - Davie, FL Josearmando is a solidly-built 2019 prospect with positional versatility and lots of talent. He crushes the ball with big time power to all fields and impressive bat speed through the zone. He tracks the ball well and has the ability to consistently barrel the ball up on a direct path. He is explosive with his hands and strong at contact to make spray lasers to all fields. At short, he has efficient feet to make tough plays glove side and a strong arm to plant and throw. His hands are soft to field with a good glove angle and he gets rid of the ball quickly. Behind the dish, he shows a quiet setup with soft hands to receive, showing very little movement. He is quick with his feet and has a fast release to make accurate throws to second. Working around the ball to receive will allow him to gain more strikes for his pitcher. Jose is a very exciting player with high upside in the game.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jose is a young 2019 MIF with very advanced defensive skills. A natural SS/2B with very clean hands, great feet and an excellent release, Jose projects to be a special player moving forward. Arm strength is playable at the next level currently and his prowess on the field is far beyond his age. At the plate, this LHH has great rhythm, is athletic and drives the balls to all fields. Jose projects to be an impact player at the next level as he matures.

07/24/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Josearmando is an athletic, energetic SS/RHP with room to grow in 3 positions. On the mound, Josearmando showed a 2-pitch mix with tail on his low 70s FB and a 10-4, low 60s CB. He showed good, clean arm action with a strong lower 1/2. Pitching will improve with finishing out in front and lengthening his arm stroke. At SS, Josearmando showed excellent rhythm with quick feet and smooth hands. Fielding out in front and continuing to work on arm strength will help to develop his skills in the INF. At the plate, his hands are fluid with a direct route to contact. He squares the ball up and drives it on a line. Josearmando continues to show improvement in multiple aspects of his game.

07/31/2014 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown Josearmando is a solid young 2B/OF, with the ability to play both well. Defensively Josearmando displays smooth actions in the field, and plays downhill toward the baseball. He needs to improve his pre-pitch actions, this will help his first step toward the baseball. At the plate Josearmando shows a mechanically sound swing, and a great understanding of the swing. At times he tends to spin in the swing, this is causing his front side to leak off of the baseball before contact.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
