01/27/2019 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Joseph is a young, lean, 2-way player who plays 1B and LHP. Defensively, Joseph has playable hands and feet, he takes a low approach to the ball, and he makes plays consistently. He gains ground, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency to his target from a short arm action. Lighter/quicker feet, a softer glove, and playing more through the ball can help defensive grades get better. On the mound, Joseph stands over the rubber well balanced, he keeps his eyes on target, and he separates on time. He is around the zone with his pitches and mixes in his off-speed well. Joseph will need to loosen his arm action, lengthen his stride, and finish in a more complete position for mound effectiveness to get better. At the plate, Joseph has a tall/open stance, good balance, and fast bat speed. He is a strong hitter with pop in his bat and he can hit to all fields. If Joseph can work on hand separation, timing, and barrel accuracy, hitting numbers will rise.
