12/01/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Sacramento, CA Joseph, a third baseman and right-handed pitcher in the 2026 graduating class from Sacramento, CA, has a tall frame with a strong lower half and plenty of room to add strength as he continues to grow. On the field, he demonstrates a solid prepitch routine and excellent body control, maintaining good positioning around the baseball. His glove presentation is strong, and he exhibits a quick exchange and release, delivering accurate throws across the diamond at 80 mph. On the mound, Joseph gets into a balanced position with good extension just over his front knee, throwing both a fastball and curveball for strikes with consistency. As a right-handed hitter, Joseph shows quick hands and late bat whip, driving the ball into a firm front side and consistently producing line drives during his round of batting practice. With more time for development, Joseph has the tools and potential to continue refining his game, making him a player to watch in the coming years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
