05/08/2016 - College PREP - Lakewood (Denver), CO Joseph continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he has improved the most, displaying solid hitting abilities with well above average power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He uses his strong lower half well and has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off his bat when centered, mainly to the pull side. Barrel accuracy is a plus as he creates backspin. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.09 range with accuracy and on line carry to his throws. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will plays well at the next level.

05/03/2015 - National Tryout - Lakewood (Denver), CO Joseph continues to work hard on his game. Behind the dish, he sits in well with athletic actions. He moves well laterally, deadening balls off of his chest. Exchange is clean as he gains ground, working in-line toward 2B (pop times of 2.02). With the bat, this righty shows a balanced approach with a solid base. He hits the ball where it's pitched with the ability to drive it the other way. Developing more rhythm will help him to get loaded sooner and will increase his timing and contact consistency. Milano has a solid all-around skill-set and will find success on the diamond.

11/07/2013 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Joseph is a catcher who continues to develop his game in all areas. Behind the dish, he receives out front with firm hands, bodies the ball when blocking, and makes strong throws to 2nd with proper footwork. At the plate, he has a balanced setup, good load, short stride, and uses his lower half well. He has a solid inside out swing and is able to work the ball to all fields showing a good opposite field approach. Joseph wants to learn the game and works hard to get himself and his teammates better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
