11/19/2011 - Accelerated Hitting Weekend (Commuter) Josh has a strong stance, and nice stride and load position, he also has good hand and bat placement in the stance and stride and load. Josh also does a very good job of using his lower half during the swing, giving him pretty good power, but he needs to focus on his upper body and arms during the swing to get the most out of his swing. He tends to let his arms leak forward during the swing, causing him to drag his hands and bat through the zone. This causes him to lose power in the swing because he doesn't get the upper body behind the swing. Also the back side of his upper and lower body need to be more in sync, which will allow him to focus more on rotating to contact instead of using his arms to swing the bat and try to go hit the baseball instead of letting the baseball travel to his barrel. During tee work Josh needs to focus on keeping his arms stiff during the swing and rotating this will prevent his arms from leaking, and his swing becoming "armsy".
