01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Josh is a two-position player who projects well both on the mound and in the infield. At 3B he has plenty of arm strength and soft hands. Feet are quick and easy, moving well laterally and through the play. Would like to see him get prepped a little earlier. With the bat he gets loaded up well though rhythm could improve. He is balanced and uses his lower half effectively. Needs to continue to work on staying behind the ball with his eyes and his barrel. On the mound, Josh was 84-87 with his fastball and showed pretty good control. Threw a 10/4 breaking ball as well. Good direction early in his delivery and his arm is strong. He tends to throw against a stiff front leg which causes him to spin off line late, cutting off his extension. As he learns to get over his front leg, he'll see even better velocity and movement. Has a chance to be a solid college player at either spot.
