06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Josh continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. In the MIF, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with zip across the diamond as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 2B and 3 BB. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
