01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Joshua continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American Rookie showcase. At the plate is where he shows best through an open setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and he shows a feel for the barrel. In the OF, feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat but will benefit by working to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet well in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) to his target. With 3 years to further develop, Joshua has the makings of as special type player with time and room to progress his game.

06/21/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Campbell continues to shine every time that we see him. This elite athlete has the tools that can play all over the diamond. At the plate, he stands in well with a solid base and fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick generating + bat speed as he connect and drives the ball with some pop (exit velo = 90 mph). In the OF, he takes a quick first step and covers a lot of ground with speed. He works behind and through the ball gaining ground toward his target. At SS, he takes good angles working right to left fluidly through the GB. Hands are soft and exchange is quick. He turns the DP quickly and efficiently getting the ball out of his glove and to 1B with ease. Joshua is a definite follow as he's only a 2025 grad!

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Joshua continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a tremendous future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with on line zip on his throws but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. He has some strength in his swing with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered. At the event, he was 3 for 3 with 2 HR. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Joshua has the makings of a special type player as he continues to progress his game.

09/22/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Joshua is young, 2-way player with long legs. In the OF, Joshua has active feet, agile movements, and a soft/presentable glove. He fields aggressively, takes proper angles, and gains momentum to his target; delivering the ball with accuracy. At 2nd base, Joshua has soft hands, good range, and he fields in an athletic position. He fields in rhythm, makes plays consistently, and can throw from multiple arm slots with accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Joshua has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and a rhythmic swing. He keeps a still head, has a middle of the field approach, and he makes square contact with good extension through the baseball. Solid overall skills can further improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
