04/25/2021 - All-In Membership - Midland, TX Joshua is a 2021 2B. Medium frame athletic build with room to carry more strength. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary 2B, fluid feet with good tempo to his actions. Showed good backhand actions as he made all the routine plays during workout. Accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good carry and an arm velocity of 74mph. Right-handed hitter hits from a square and athletic stance. Simple load, gets knob to C, with good balance at contact. Looseness to hands as he gets on plane early with good extension. Contact hitter who recorded a bat exit velocity of 75mph. Continued growth and development will bode well for his opportunities to play at the next level.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Joshua is a lean, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.92. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 3 years to further develop, Joshua has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
