07/31/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Southwest Championships 18U Participant 8/3 - CG shutout, pitches to contact, good down hill plane, in line direction, effortless delivery, Throws all pitches for strikes.

07/18/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One West Josh continues to show strong skills on the diamond. With the bat, this strong righty maintains a balanced/relaxed setup as he waits for his pitch. Barrel gets to and through the zone with whip as he connects and drives the ball. Behind the plate, he has quick footwork with the ability to get around pitches in the dirt. He centers them off of his chest and is quick to recover. On the bump, Josh works downhill and is in the zone with all 3 pitches. He has a short/compact delivery and has repeatable mechanics. A versatile player - Josh has skills that will bring success.

03/23/2014 - National Tryout - Union City, CA Josh continues to shine on the diamond. This exciting prospect turns heads with his play. With the bat, his explosive bat speed crushes the ball as he has the ability to put the ball over the fence to both sides of the park. Behind the dish, he puts his athleticism on display as he shows quick/smooth actions. Runners will not want to test his arm as he gets it down to 2B in as low as 1.95. At 3B, he is light on his feet, fielding the ball from right to left. Josh Domingo is a name you should remember as he has a very bright future in the game.

01/17/2014 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Josh is a junior catcher that has a good baseball build. Defensively, he popped a 2.1 seconds consistently and showed strong receiving/blocking ability. Joshua has strong wrists that allow him to stick the pitches low and get around the ball. With the bat, he is direct, generates excellent bat speed and is explosive with his lower half. He shows good hit ability and excellent barrel accuracy. Overall - Domingo is a very intriguing prospect that has sound tools all around.

09/01/2013 - College PREP - San Francisco, CA Josh is a very canny two-way player with a projectable build - 5'10"/175 lbs. Over at the hot corner, he has good pre-pitch work, moves well with fluid footwork and fields with sure hands and a smooth tempo. As a backstop, he is soft to receive, shows an ability to stick pitches low, and gains ground to throw - popping 2.19. Domingo is an instinctive/anticipatory blocker that keeps the ball in front. Offensively, he shows proficiency in getting to a launch, and generating fast bat speed through the zone. He has an aggressive mentality with the barrel and shows gap pop with plus rhythm. In all - Domingo is a promising young player that currently projects best at third, with plus hit ability.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
