09/10/2017 - College PREP - Fresno, CA Joshua worked out both in the OF and on the mound during his last workout in Fresno. He showed best in the OF with solid defensive skills and a good stick at the plate. In the OF, Joshua has a good overall approach, quick feet, and agile movements to the ball. He reads well off the bat, stays behind properly, and throws with consistency and strength to his target. Throwing on a more downhill plane and continuing to add arm strength will help OF skills continue to improve. On the mound, Joshua has a compact delivery, he separates on time, and lands in a square direction. He has good glove side lead, a controlled landing, and he competes in the zone with his pitches. Mound effectiveness can improve if Joshua can keep his eyes on his target, use more lower body, and finish with more extension. Offensively, Joshua is an aggressive hitter with a proper load, fast bat speed, and can hit to all fields. He swings in good rhythm, makes square contact, and can work the ball gap to gap with pop. Staying level and closed more consistently will only help solid hitting get even better.
