11/01/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Showcase: Futures South Lowe is a well rounded player and talented two-way guy. He stands at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, with length to his levers and speed in his actions. His left handed stroke was short to contact - nearly inside out but worked well for him. His approach and stroke seemed built for hard contact up the middle and the other way, he served line drives thru oppo gap with ease with a wood bat. Defensively, he kept his feet under him well to maintain body control. He spun the ball well across the infield, and seems well suited to 3B. On the mound, he filled up the zone with 88-89 fastballs. It had occasional late arm side run. He's got advanced feel for pitch, and showed the ability to command it both sides of the plate. He showed the makings of quality slider - it had fastball look and plane for a long time, clear shape and depth are not there yet but has potential to be plus pitch. Overall, he has upside as position player and on the mound - it's hard to choose a path right now, though it appears he may have more upside on the mound. Secondary stuff shows signs of promise, giving him potential for at least two plus pitches in the future.
