09/25/2022 - All-In Membership - San Bernardino, CA Was great to see Josh one final time. Numbers continue to improve and he will be very impactful in his freshman year in college.

12/18/2020 - All-In Membership - San Bernardino, CA Joshua is a tall, solid, and athletic 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, he shows outstanding hitting abilities with excellent power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (91 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (86 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 81-84 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. Slider resembles breaking ball with tight spin. With 2 years to further develop, Joshua has the makings of a special type player as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
