12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Joshua continues to show a bright future on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he as 3 for 6 with 2 2B. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

09/03/2017 - College PREP - Abilene, TX Joshua is a talented and athletic young SS prospect. As a SS, Joshua has a clean exchange and shows the ability to field the ball side to side. Continuing to use his legs and following through on his throws will allow him to be more accurate across the diamond. At the plate, Joshua has a quiet head and a fluid finish. This allows him to make good contact with the ball. Continuing to load his hands and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to hit line drives to all fields. Joshua will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
