08/04/2014 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Joshua continues to show as a RHP/SS at the event but currently projects better at SS for the next level. He takes good first steps and is fluid in his approach and displays range to both sides. He displays sure hands in making the plays but needs present more out front to continue to improve grade. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup with balance. Hands are and work through a level line drive approach. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He slows his arm speed on his changeup, tipping off pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will improve as he builds more arm strength, throws more strikes, and develops better off speed stuff. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and has the work ethic to take skill set to the next level.
