01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Joshua was an exceptionally hard working ball player that earned himself the G-Award while participating at the Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City. Defensively, he was always moving and looking to be a part of the winning solution - moving his body into throwing lanes to back up plays all over the field. He had advanced feel for where plays may go, and was aggressive with his feet. He moved well to the baseball, and worked to get behind fly balls to work his momentum through to throw. During defensive drills he worked on catching the ball a little higher and allowing his arm to get extended out over the front side for more carry. Offensively, he had a good setup with balance and generated decent bat whip to hit. He worked hard in the cages on making adjustments to boost bat speed through hand/hip coordination. In all - Joshua was a pleasure for teammates and coaches alike and has a bright future has he focuses his passion to his development.
