08/02/2017 - College PREP - Detroit, MI Joshua continues to show a promising future on the diamond with improvement in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.08. At the plate, he has improved his hitting / power potential, now showing well above average through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap guy. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.
