06/16/2015 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Joshua continues to work hard on his game. He is a coachable player who hustles all over the field. On the mound, he has solid mound presence and looks the part. He works quickly keeping hitters off balance. Separation is on-time as he drives toward the plate and extends through his finish. FB now tops out at 68 mph showing slight cut. Reaching back more and allowing his arm action to work (loosely) will help to improve effectiveness on his pitches. In the OF, Joshua shows active pre-pitch footwork as he hustles to track down fly-balls. He covers ground with speed and creates good angles toward his target. With the bat, this righty shows a balanced approach with a solid barrel. He takes an aggressive hack and hits line drives consistently. He is a good situational hitter, working the count and battling pitchers. Stevens (2019 grad) is a gamer who brings his all to the field. He still has a ton of time to develop his skills on the diamond.
