01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Joshua is a 2025 C out of Mount Joy, PA who showcased his talents at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American event. Behind the plate, he has fluid footwork and does a great job getting to his feet quick. He catches from an athletic position with firm hands. He had a low pop time of 1.97 and an arm velo of 85. Joshua looks extremely confident behind the plate and has a good feel for the position as well. This right-handed hitter has a square stance, short stride, and smooth rhythm. He showed good bat whip and a level swing path where balls jumped off his bat. In the game, Joshua showed his power with a homerun in one of his at bats. We foresee that with 3 years left to develop Joshua will continue to catch the eye of scouts.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
