Joshua continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future in the diamond. In the OF, he utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting abilities are now well above average through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a plus feel for the barrel, flashing gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball showed a range of 81-83 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He throws a slider that is harder with tight 2/8 shape. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Joshua has an upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Joshua is a lean, athletic LHP/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays outstanding defensive abilities and utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine displaying solid hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point. Fastball showed a range of 74-77 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with downward tilt. He shows sinking action on his changeup but slows arm speed, tipping off pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Joshua has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.
