12/19/2012 - Pirate City Christmas Camp and Tournament Joshua is a solid two-position player who continues to showcase arm strength as his top tool. In the infield he takes good routes to and through the ball and works out in front with the glove fairly well. His glove work can soften up, and he tends to play a bit high. Gets rid of the ball in good shape, but he cuts his throws off. Still, carry across the diamond is above average. In the box, he is a contact-type hitter at present, but there is more power in there. He has a balanced approach, though he needs to use the whole field more consistently. Projects best on the mound, and showed very well in his two game outings. He has very good composure and presence. Delivery is direct and has solid tempo. Arm stroke is clean as well. Secondary pitches are average at present, but arm speed gives both his breaking ball and changeup a chance to improve. Good looking 2014 prospect.
