05/26/2012 - Little League® Experience Josh is a 2019 graduate who plays corner infielder and LHP. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, he has a quick release and he is accurate to his target. As an infielder Josh displayed soft/sure hands, active footwork, quick/clean feeds/pivots and he has playable range. He needs to get lower in his fielding position and use two hands when fielding. Josh has good skills as a fielder but he will be forced to move over to first base because he is left handed. On the mound he showed good composure, he throws strikes and gets outs. He needs to keep his front side closed and use his lower half to generate more power. At the plate Josh has an athletic setup, he has a load, short stride, stable balance, level swing path and a good gap to gap approach. He needs to get started sooner and use his lower half more. Josh is a great kid who hustles and works hard. He has good skills in the infield which will make him a very good first baseman. Because he has solid "baseball" skills he should work a little as an outfielder. The fact of the matter is that if you are left handed the positions you can play at a higher level are limited. First base/outfield/pitcher are the positions he should work at.
