Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Judd is a stud 2019 OF/RHP prospect who loves the game and always makes a big impact on the field. His already impressive tools are further elevated by his elite athleticism that makes him a big time contributor. He has absolutely blazing speed in the outfield that profiles to centerfield with ridiculous range. He has feel to get quick jumps and take efficient angles to make tough plays look easy. At the dish, this sweet swing switch hitter shows easy bat speed through the zone to make consistent, hard contact and project to the top of a lineup. His actions are fluid and easy with a direct path to hit any pitch hard. On the bump, he works in the mid 80's with his fastball and complements it with a 10-4 curveball with good break. He works ahead in the count with the heater and can put hitters away with well-placed breaking balls late in counts. Judd is an extremely talented player who will make himself known at the college level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
