01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Juna continues to shine on the diamond. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 64-67 mph and works on a downhill plane. Control is solid as he attacks hitters, working the ball in and out. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He will benefit by throwing his off speed stuff more in games.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Juna is a hardworking and talented 2021 2-way prospect. In the OF, Juna is on time with his prep step, anticipates the ball off the bat, and creates angles to the ball. He's aggressive on ground balls and has a clean exchange. At the plate, Juna starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and gets his front foot down on time. He creates rhythm in his load and is a contact hitter. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and creates backside rotation in his lower half in order to drive the ball. On the bump, Juna gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a loose arm action. He throws his fastball too both sides of the plate, and creates sink on his changeup. Continuing to ride his leg toward the plate and throwing north to south will allow him to finish over the front side more consistently. Juna was very coachable through the weekend and made several in game adjustments. Juna will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

08/26/2018 - College PREP - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Juna is a tall, lean LHP who will graduate in 2022. Delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point and works in line to his target. Fastball showed a range of 71-75 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with early break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with cutting action. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Juna has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
