Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic with Video Showcase (HS - East) Justin is a class of 2022 shortstop prospect. He shows off an athletic build with good foot speed running his 60 yard dash in a quick 6.82 seconds. In the field, he showed a good ability to create angles. Showed good range to both sides of his body. Flashed additional athleticism with his ability to change arm angles and make off balanced throws. At the plate, this right handed hitter starts in an athletic stance. Does a good job getting his barrel on plane. Stayed balanced throughout the entirety of his swing. In live game action, he was able to reach base twice with a walk and a single. Justin is a good prospect that we expect to have opportunities to play at the next level.

09/26/2021 - All-In Membership - Jupiter, FL Justin is an athletic SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Justin shows efficient footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He gets into a square position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate/on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He shows fluid rhythm and engages his lower half well, driving the ball to his pull side with authority. Overall, Justin is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

05/02/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Fort Lauderdale, FL Justin is a 2022 2B. Medium frame athletic build with strength present room to add more strength. Ran a 6.83 60-yard dash. At 2B, he shows good rhythm to his actions and fluid feet. Creates good fielding angles and ability to play through the ball. Fields from a low and athletic fielding position, with sure hands, and a good glove angle. Loose arm action, with a quick release, and a side arm release point. Accurate/on-line throws across diamond and an arm velocity of 87mph. He projects better at SS. Right-handed hitter begins with an upright and even stance. Quiet actions allow him to track pitches while rotating his lower half to a balanced launch position. Direct barrel path who made square contact to the pull side during his round of BP. Recorded a bat exit velocity of 83mph. With continued growth and development, we can see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
