06/12/2013 - Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One Florida Juarbe showed arm strength behind the plate, the ball got out of his hand well and had carry through the target. There was some depth to his arm stroke, and some size to his footwork - both hindered his pop times this event. We have seen him as low as 2.0 before, and it isn't hard to see why - the arm strength is the great equalizer. His main area for improvement defensively is how he sits and receives - can work to get wider with his feet and more comfortable. He worked down in front of balls in the dirt well to block. At the plate, he was aggressive to hit and showed a loose, full swing. He has raw power, the ball jumped off his bat when centered, and it carried very well. Swing is build more for power than for hit, can get a little sweepy long and out front - when he stays back and is able to extend through contact is when he is at his best.
