07/15/2013 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Justin is a tall, lean C/1B that will graduate in 2015. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.39 60 time. He utilizes his quick feet well in working in line to his target through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times show a range of 2.39-2.55 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Receiving / blocking skills show as playable tools at the next level as he continues to improve. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver, displaying clean hands. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to attack ground balls more while presenting hands well out front. At the plate, he shows a balanced approach with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the baseball, utilizing all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he adds overall body strength. With 2 years to further develop, Justin has abilities with time and room to improve.
