08/20/2011 - College PREP - Purchase, NY Justin is a young two-way player as a RHP / SS who will graduate in 2015. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level. Feet are active but needs to get on a speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. He comes gets the ball through a low approach and plays through with his body. Hands are soft, clean and sure as he makes the plays. He gets rid of the baseball quickly through a clean transfer / exchange with throws showing accuracy. He will benefit by getting on a long toss program to build more arm strength, plus raise velocities. Offensively, Lebek shows a balanced approach with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a short swing path. He needs to work on keeping hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus with power numbers improving as he learns to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-73 mph with slight arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Changeup shows average feel for with arm side run. He throws strikes with all of his pitches, locating to both sides of the plate. With 4 years to further develop, Justin has potential with time and room to continue to improve.
