06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Justin is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and projectable frame with room to fill throughout. At SS, starts with quick/fluid feet and smooth actions. Good rhythm to his actions with good 1st steps allow him to make plays in all directions. Keeps eyes behind the ball, with ability to pick out hops, and fields the ball out front in low fielding position. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with some carry and accuracy across the diamond with an arm velocity of 90mph. At the plate, this right-handed hitter begins with an athletic and open stance. Smooth swing, with good barrel control, and ability to make consistent contact. Had a bat exit velocity of 81mph in live game action and was tough out. As he continues to mature and develop, we see Justin having opportunities to play at the next level.

08/16/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Daytona Beach, FL Justin is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Justin shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to his target. Working on his footwork to throw can help Justin improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a short swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent contact and line drives. Justin can improve as a hitter by continuing to add strength. Overall, Justin is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
