01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Justin is an athletic OF/RHP that will graduate in 2021. In the OF, Justin shows athletic actions with smooth and agile footwork to the ball. He takes a +1st step working behind the ball fielding athletic and low. He presents a soft and sure glove making quick exchanges to throw. He gets rid of the ball with a loose arm action delivering a strong, accurate throw. At the plate Justin sets up in an athletic and tall stance with high and comfortable hands. He shows good rhythm getting his foot down on time showing a smooth swing with +barrel accuracy. His line drive approach leads to consistent contact to all fields. On the mound, Justin shows a 2-pitch mix with a FB/CB combo. Justin shows confidence on the mound as he starts his motion working out of the stretch with a relaxed knee lift. He separates on time with a clean arm action as he works down the mound. He accelerates keeping his stride in line finishing rotation through release. Justin shows a great attitude to improve on the field and will continue to grow and develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
