10/15/2008 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic - 2008 McGee jumped his top end fastball velocity up five mph since we last saw him, up from 84 to 89 mph. His breaking ball velocity went up a few mph as well, from 69 to 72. He showed good arm action, along with good overall athletic ability on the mound. He showed some feel to pitch, along with some ability to move the ball around the zone. Can work to stay back over the rubber longer, and to utilize his lower half more in general. At the plate, he was aggressive and showed excellent bat speed. Can work to track the ball deeper into the zone, and to work the barrel through the hitting zone longer. In the OF, he was athletic and got good jumps. He can work to improve his routes and his defensive communication. Overall, likely will generate more interest on the mound than in the OF at this point - though he does have some two-way potential at the college level. Improved to Class 3 as RHP.
