10/24/2012 - Arizona Freshman/Sophmore Fall Classic In Justin's most recent Factory event, he played shortstop and threw one inning. At short, he had an easy arm, and a quick/clean exchange with carry. His feeds were consistent on double play balls and he has soft/sure hands with good/smooth tempo. Playing through balls more consistently and increasing his range will make Justin an excellent shortstop. The coaching staff believes he will be a good middle-infielder, or even a catcher. Offensively, he has a clean bat path, easy load, and takes a nice swing with good rhythm. He finds himself late with his front foot at times with his leg kick becoming his timing mechanism it will be difficult to hit better pitching. Justin also pitched for an inning, throwing with easy arm action he touched 78 MPH with his fastball. Overall, Justin projects well as a middle-infielder/catcher with soft/sure hands and a nice quick/clean exchange with fluid arm action.
